Michelle Li
Founder, Trainer & Master Instructor
Michelle Li’s journey in movement began with Yoga, evolved through a deep passion for Aerial Yoga, and ultimately led her to become a Master Pilates Instructor. She is the founder of Fine Yoga Fit in El Monte and Diamond Bar, and the co-founder of U Plus Fit in Arcadia.
In 2017, Michelle traveled to India, immersing herself in traditional yoga studies to deepen her understanding of the philosophy, breathwork, and mind–body connection that form the foundation of Yoga practice. This transformative experience refined her teaching approach, grounding her work in mindfulness, precision, and respect for individual physical differences.
As her teaching career progressed, Michelle recognized the growing need for structured, rehabilitative, and posture-focused movement, which led her to shift her professional focus from Yoga toward Pilates. She pursued comprehensive Pilates education and became a certified and highly skilled Pilates trainer, integrating the mindfulness of Yoga with the biomechanical precision of Pilates.
Michelle brings a wealth of experience and clinical awareness to her classes. She specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from various conditions, including functional movement issues, lower back pain, pelvic misalignment, scapular and shoulder discomfort, and scoliosis. She is also highly experienced in postpartum rehabilitation, focusing on rectus abdominis diastasis recovery, pelvic floor function restoration, and relieving lower back pain.
Known for her professionalism, detailed corrections, and compassionate teaching style, Michelle is deeply dedicated to guiding her students toward safer movement, better posture, and long-term physical well-being. Her unique background allows her to create thoughtful, effective, and individualized programs that empower students to move with confidence and freedom.
About Us
At U Plus Fit, Pilates is more than exercise — it is a method for restoring balance, posture, and functional movement.
We focus on helping students correct postural issues and improve the way their bodies move in daily life, rather than treating Pilates as just another athletic workout.
Our instructors place strong emphasis on proper alignment, correct muscle engagement, and safe movement patterns. Every class includes hands-on and verbal corrections to ensure each student performs exercises with the right form. This careful approach helps prevent injury, reduce unnecessary strain, and allow students to gain the full benefits of Pilates practice.
We also place great importance on supporting seniors in achieving better health, mobility, and independence. Through carefully designed, low-impact, and well-controlled Pilates sessions, we help seniors improve posture, enhance balance, maintain joint mobility, and manage age-related discomfort safely and effectively.
By applying the core principles of the STOTT PILATES® method, we teach students how to breathe efficiently, stabilize the core, and move with control and precision. Whether addressing rounded shoulders, neck and lower back discomfort, postural imbalances caused by long hours at the desk, or age-related movement limitations, our goal is to help students build healthier movement habits that extend beyond the studio.
At U Plus Fit, Pilates is a safe, effective, and mindful practice designed to support long-term posture improvement, pain management, senior wellness, and overall well-being — empowering every student to move freely and confidently.
